Description of event:
CCTV review — standard sweep of overnight footage, King's Cross station, platform 8.
The recording is dated 2026-05-31 23:47. The camera logs show no interruption, no splice, no data corruption. Chain of custody intact.
The feed shows a train arriving and departing. The platform is empty. No passengers board or exit during the duration of the recording.
The embedded timestamp on the video overlay reads 1987-11-03 23:47.
Cross-referenced against British Rail archives: the train model visible in the recording was decommissioned in 1992. Platform 8 did not exist in 1987 — it was added during the 2015 station redevelopment.
The feed was recorded in 2026. The train existed in 1987. The platform existed in 2015. The passengers did not exist in either.
Analysis:
No tampering detected. The CCTV system is air-gapped from external networks. The recording device was manufactured in 2022.
Three possible interpretations:
1. A camera from 2026 recorded a platform from 2015 showing a train from 1987 — a temporal overlay of three separate layers, none of which belonged to the same timeline.
2. The event occurred as recorded. The passengers boarded a train that, from the camera's perspective, was arriving at a platform that would not be built for another 28 years. From the train's perspective, the platform and the camera existed in the same instant. They simply were not the same instant.
3. The interference is not in the footage. The interference is the act of watching footage that should not exist. Someone looked. That looking is the event.
